General description:
Casale Il Palazzo is a traditional 17th century 'casa padronale', beautifully restored retaining all the original features and using the authentic materials. The atmosphere of the old Umbrian stone farmhouses is still alive and part of the antique furniture and decoration belongs to the owners family.
Its dominant hillside position on 500 m. above sea level overlooking the Tiber valley is absolutely fantastic and with its setting in the middle of a preserved area of natural beauty with olive groves, woodlands, vineyards and rolling fields an ideal location for a memorable holiday.
Il Palazzo: a perfect spot to get away from it all, whereas its location on a distance of only 10 min. from Citta' di Castello and the E45 makes it an excellent base for exploring Umbria, the green hart of Italy. Also Tuscany, The Marche and the beaches of the Adriatic coast are within easy reach.

The landscaped garden that surrounds the house with its lawns, terraces, flowers and old trees is a paradise of peace and invites to relax in it, to enjoy the sunsets and in the evening the star filled sky .
There is a beautiful swimming pool (12 x 6m) with comfortable sun beds and next to the pool a pool house with a dressing/shower/bathroom and a laundry room with washing machine. The swimming pool area includes also a whirlpool, a spacious patio with garden furniture and another large uncovered terrace, all offering stunning views over the surrounding countryside.

A converted barn next to the house has a covered area where guests are invited to prepare their own pizzas in the wood-burning pizza oven or to use the big open fireplace for bbq-ing.

Additional information/ activities:
The owner and his family, who are living elsewhere, make their guests feel very welcome. On arrival they take care of a welcome package consisting of different basic groceries and home made Umbrian delicacies.
On a distance of only 2 km. there are two good restaurants and a place to buy bread. Citta' di Castello, with its attractive historical centre, is within 10 min. drive and here you find everything you need, ago. supermarkets, restaurants, banks, shops and there is a market every Thursday and Saturday.
In the direct neighbourhood lots of possibilities for walking and touring. Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, Arezzo and Urbino are within max. 40 minutes drive and Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, Spoleto and the Adriatic coast within 60 minutes. Florence and Sienna can be reached within 90 min. drive. There is convenient access to many airports including Perugia, Pisa, Forli, Bologna, Rome and Ancona.
The apartments:
Casale Il Palazzo is divided into two spacious and comfortable apartments: Palazzo Uno on the first level and Palazzo Due on the second level. Both apartments have a separate entrance and a private covered terrace, central heating, TV and internetconnection.
